Each of our three Directors has almost 40 years' experience within the Forest Products sector. Collectively they offer a wealth of knowledge and professional experience underpinned by a collaborative, partnership approach to business.
Tailored to your specific requirements, we can operate in the role of Timber Agent, Broker, Trader or Break Bulk Wholesaler.
Every timber product that we source and supply undergoes a rigorous due diligence process to ensure compliance with the appropriate legislation.
Goods traded are sold with a full Chain of Custody to one or more of the accredited certification schemes. This ensures independently verified and documented traceability from responsibly sourced forests to the end consumer.

SERVICES
Agency - Brokerage - Wholesaling and Ancillary Market Support Services.
We act as a 'Del Credere' Agency for overseas suppliers. This service is supported by our Credit Insurance policy offering 90% cover on the debt. As such, overseas suppliers enjoy the comfort factor that should the final buyer default, then the outstanding amount is insured up to the value of 90%. Where required this cover can be re-assigned to the supplier, relieving the requirement to 'double insure'.

We provide Brokerage services for suppliers with landed stock who require assistance to sell the goods.

We offer Wholesaling services to suppliers requiring assistance to land goods for sale and distribution throughout the marketplace. This service is supported by our established relationships with logistic companies; warehousing and port facilities.

Ancillary market support services include: logistics; freighting, timber processing, marketing, market penetration with products, and chain of custody implementation services.

DUE DILIGENCE
Ensuring Compliance
Due Diligence is a prerequisite for the UK Timber Regulation (UKTR). Timber products being placed on the UK market for the first time must undergo Due Diligence.

Prior to Brexit only 12%* of UK Timber Importers were subject to Due Diligence. Since January 2021 the definition of 'Operator' has been extended to all businesses that are first placers of timber and timber products on the UK market.
​
Up to 87%* of UK timber imports come from the EU.
​
Products being exported to the UK are now subject to the UK Timber Regulation as it is known, so this presents another obstacle to seamless trading.
​

Stephen joined the timber trade in 1984 with Mallinson Denny. In 1988 whilst studying for the Institute of Wood Science qualifications he met Robert. He joined him at a leading UK timber agency where they worked together for over 20 years.
In 2008 they jointly formed Park Row Partners Ltd.

Stephen manages PRP’s financial portfolio and manages sales for Northern England and Scotland.

Robert commenced his career in the timber sector in 1984 with an induction at E A LIndqvist Ab in Arvidsjaur Sweden. After further training with Howarth Timber (now Arbor Forest Products) he finally joined a leading UK softwood agency.

Robert has extensive experience in Chain of Custody and Due Diligence for the forest products industry. This is an additional service the Company also offers.
​
Robert manages sales for Northern Ireland and Eire.

Ian previously worked for Howarth Timber Importers between 1981- 1998. (Now Arbor Forest Products). After a career with large importers such as Metsa and Taylor Maxwell Ian moved into the agency sector in 2003, working alongside Stephen and Robert.
Ian joined Park Row Partners in 2012.
Ian manages sales for England and Wales.
